Here are short talks that you can use for Sharing Time in Primary for the month of December:
Week 1: The prophets foretold that Jesus Christ would come to earth.
Many scripture passages tell about the coming of the Savoir Jesus Christ. That He would be sent here on Earth to atone us from our sins. Isaiah 7:14 says,“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” This explains that Jesus Christ is born by a virgin. In the Book of Mormon, Abinadi foretold (in Mosiah 15:1) His coming and its purpose. He said, “I would that ye should understand that God himself shall come down among the children of men, and shall redeem his people.”
Knowing the truth that Jesus Christ’s coming was foretold by our prophets help increase our testimony of the Savior. I know that it is true. That Jesus Christ came here on Earth as prophesied by the ancient prophets, that He came here to Redeem us from our sins, and that He will come again.
Week 2: Jesus Christ will come to the earth again.
Probably the sweetest news for those who love the Lord is that He will come to earth once more. In the scriptures, several prophets told us about the second coming of our Savior.
In Matthew 16:27, it says, “For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.” In this verse, it is clear that he will come to Earth again and then, Judgement comes so the wicked will be separated from the righteous. The question is, are we prepared to meet our Savior?
We are blessed to know this truth – that He is coming back here once more. This will keep us reminded that we should prepare ourselves consistently so when that day comes, we can be able to recognize the Lord and come back to His presence.
Week 3: I will prepare to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again
Young as we are, there are actually a lot of things that we can do to prepare ourselves be worthy so we can come back to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We can simply start by having our consistent personal prayer, scripture study, and church attendance.
As a family, we hold family home evenings, family prayer, family scripture study, and other wholesome family activities to invite the Spirit of the Lord in our daily lives.
In the church, by simply attending our Sunday classes, listening to the speakers, and attending our Primary activities help us get closer to Him.
At home or wherever we may be, if we also seek opportunities to serve our fellowmen, our testimonies will increase as well as our capacity to love and be loved by our Savior.
Week 4: I have a testimony that I am a child of God.
A testimony is something that you believe is true but is not visible with your naked eyes. Having a personal testimony of the Savior does not just mean that you believe on Him. It also signifies that you actually have Faith on Him which is evident by your good works.
Why do we need to know that we are sons and daughters of Heavenly Father?
Having a personal testimony that we are a children of God makes us feel happy and helps us make the right choices. When everything goes crazy around us, we can remain strong yet calm, and happy if we strengthen this testimony.
